Christmas Dinner

Acadiana Outreach Center’s Annual
Christmas Dinner to feed Homeless

On Christmas Day, the community came together to celebrate with Acadiana Outreach Center by sharing food and fellowship with our poor and homeless neighbors. The Outreach Center staff joined together with community volunteers to serve 500 hot, delicious plates of food along with 400 to go plates, which helped feed impoverished community residents.

The celebration began with a blessing at 10:30 a.m. at the Outreach Center’s Celebration Center at 125 S. Buchanan St. in downtown Lafayette.  The Center’s inspirational “Voices of Recovery” choir performed throughout the dinner.  Santa was there to provide over 2,000 gifts to the children who attended.  Laura’s II Café provided a traditional Christmas dinner of pork roast, ham, green bean casserole, yams and rice dressing.  Acadiana Bottling supplied the beverages.
